A more efficient and optimal LLR for decoding and verification

چکیده
We propose a new conndence score for decoding and veriication. Since the traditional log likelihood ratio (LLR) is borrowed from speaker veriication technique, it may not be apropriate for decoding because we do not have a good modelling and deenition of LLR for decoding/utterance veriication. We have proposed a new formulation of LLR that can be used for decoding and veriication task. Experimental results show that our proposed LLR can perform equally well compared with the result based on maximum likelihood in a decoding task. Also, we get an 5% improvement in decoding compared with traditional LLR.

A Low-Complexity Stopping Criterion for Iterative Turbo Decoding
This letter proposes an efficient and simple stopping criterion for turbo decoding, which is derived by observing the behavior of log-likelihood ratio (LLR) values. Based on the behavior, the proposed criterion counts the number of absolute LLR values less than a threshold and the number of hard decision 1’s in order to complete the iterative decoding procedure. Simulation results show that the...
متن کاملA Novel Alternative Hypothesis Characterization Using Kernel Classifiers for LLR-Based Speaker Verification
In a log-likelihood ratio (LLR)-based speaker verification system, the alternative hypothesis is usually ill-defined and hard to characterize a priori, since it should cover the space of all possible impostors. In this paper, we propose a new LLR measure in an attempt to characterize the alternative hypothesis in a more effective and robust way than conventional methods. This LLR measure can be...

In this paper, we explore the impacts of utilizing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in a power-splitting based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (PS-SWIPT) system and compare its performance with the traditional decode and forward relaying system. To analyze a more practical system, it is also assumed that the receiving nodes are subject to decoding cost, and they are on...
متن کاملApproximation du LLR pour un Décodage Multi-niveaux de Réseaux de Points Imbriqués
Multilevel coding (MLC) is a practical encoding scheme for nested lattice codes based on construction D, since it saves complexity while using a hypercube shaping. On the other hand, multistage decoding is also an efficient and practical decoding scheme for MLC provided that the underlying error correcting codes of construction D are capacity achieving, which requires a powerful soft decoder fo...
